Magnesium Glycinate + Taurine + CoenzymeQ10

A synergistic trio of research-supported nutrients for cardiovascular health

The heart is the most important muscle we have--pumping blood, oxygen and nutrients to our body’s tissues 24/7. But nutritional deficiencies can have a serious impact on cardiovascular health and function. For instance, low magnesium levels are associated with high blood pressure, diabetes, and high cholesterol. Specifically, high LDL, low HDL, and metabolic syndrome are all associated with low magnesium levels. Having low magnesium can worsen congestive heart failure, atherosclerosis, chest pain, hypertension, cardiac arrhythmias, heart muscle disease and heart attack.

About Magnesium Glycinate + Taurine + CoenzymeQ10

Meanwhile, about 80 percent of us are not getting the recommended daily intake of magnesium from our diets. That’s why Pure Lab’s Magnesium Glycinate plus Taurine and CoQ10 contains 300 milligrams of elemental magnesium, in the form of magnesium glycinate—a dose that provides about three quarters of the recommended daily intake.

CoEnzyme Q10 fulfills a dual role in the cardiovascular system. It acts as an antioxidant and it supports cellular energy production. But what’s even more useful than CoQ10 is its metabolically active form, ubiquinol. That’s why Pure Lab’s Magnesium Glycinate + Taurine + CoQ10 features 80 milligrams of KanekaTM-brand Ubiquinol per daily dose. In fact we’re proud to feature the activated form of the only all-natural, yeast-fermented and bio-identical CoEnzyme Q10 available.

This is important because low blood levels of CoQ10 have also been associated with cardiovascular problems. Conditions like angina, arrhythmia, heart failure and hypertension, as well as dysglycemia, stomach ulcers, gum disease, chronic fatigue and muscle pain.

Individuals using a statin drug for cholesterol reduction typically develop a drug-induced CoQ10 deficiency. Their production of CoQ10 is inhibited and blocked by these medications, so they’re good candidates for supplementation.

The third active ingredient in Pure Lab’s Magnesium Glycinate plus Taurine and CoQ10 is taurine. A daily dose provides 1.5 grams of heart-essential taurine. Why? Because the heart muscle contains the highest concentration of the amino acid taurine in the body, where it helps to maintain magnesium and potassium within the heart muscle cells.

Studies indicate that taurine is needed for the heart’s cellular health, its electrical stability, regularity and strength of muscle contractions. Also, additional studies show that individuals with hypertension have lower levels of taurine in the bloodstream.

Heart disease may be the second leading cause of death in Canada, but it doesn’t have to be.
